We knew the rain was coming, but we were able to get our make-up match in with Connersville on Monday night down in Connersville. The Spartans came in ranked #7 in the IHSTeCA district rankings, just two spots behind the Trojans. This is the fourth consecutive week, NCT has been ranked in district. This may have been our most complete match of the season from top to bottom with one of the highlights being the #1 doubles team of Jaylee Bush and Emma Harris defeating the Spartan duo that won the Richmond Invitational two Saturdays ago. The #2 doubles team of Cadence Armacost and Teagan Brown were also impressive as they defeated the same Connersville team that was a close 3rd set match two weeks ago....this time our Trojan team only lost 2 games. Morley and Peyton at #1 and # 2 singles were dominant only losing a combined 3 games. 1 Singles - Morley Blessinger won 6-0, 6-0 2 Singles - Peyton Blessinger won 6-1, 6-2 3 Singles - Ashlynn Blessinger lost 6-7(5), 3-6 1 Doubles - Emma Harris/Jaylee Bush won 5-7, 6-2, 10-7 2 Doubles - Cadence Armacost/Teagan Brown won 6-2, 6-0 The JV match was imcomplete due to the rain, but the Trojans had secured wins from #1 singles Payton Dolce and #3 singles Cloe Poe. Varsity record is now 9-2 on the season.
